Walk and Roll to School on May 9th!

Wednesday May 9 is Walk, Bike and Roll to School Day!
How does it work? Throughout the month of May students all over the country are challenging themselves to find healthier transportation to school. The goals are to get to school in ways that are healthier for the environment and get some exercise on your way to school. Try for one or both of these goals!

There will be prizes for anyone who participates! This includes those who take the bus, carpool, or “Park and Stride”, which is driving to school but parking at least 4 blocks away and walking the rest of the way.

Reading Olympics Continue…

Keeping the Olympic spirit alive with the Reading Olympics!

Envelopes have begun coming in.  Please collect any pledges and donations made to your reading Olympian and return the envelope to his or her teacher.

If you have completed the Ems Sluggo Reading Challenge book mark, tat may be turned in at this time as well.

You can make a donation here or use this link to share with friends and family:

We truly appreciate your support of these fundraisers that benefit EVERY student at Adams.  We use funds from Jog-a-thon and Reading Olympics to pay for countless field trips, play admissions, garden project, musical instruments, transportation, act supplies, school-wide events, engineering night, Earth Day celebration and much more.

Thanks to the generous support of Adams families, we rarely need to ask for other small contributions from families when planning for student enrichment opportunities.  THANK YOU!  THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Adams Family Movie Night

Join us for our final FREE Adams family movie night this Friday.  Doors open at 5:30.  Movie starts at 6:00.   Concessions will be for sale.  All proceeds support Adams Outdoor School.

Cell Phones and Tablets at School

If your child brings a phone or tablet to school to be able to communicate with home after school hours, it is our expectation that the device be turned off and stowed in her or his backpack as soon as they arrive at school.

If the device is not for communication, but for entertainment, games, etc, we would like it left at home as with other toys or distracting items.

Thank you for reviewing these expectations with your child.
