I hope that you had the chance to get outside and enjoy the sunshine this weekend.  It certainly is hard to believe that a few short weeks ago, we were canceling school due to snow and ice.  As we look into the week before spring break, here is some news you can use.

Student Drop-Off in the Morning

Our mornings are very busy here at Adams and so is our .  Please be aware of the following while getting your child to school each day.

  • The yellow curb in front of the building is reserved for buses all day, as we have buses arriving and departing for regular transportation daily and often for field trips.  Please do not park here and escort your child in.
  • We have a ‘pause parking‘ lane in the parking lot on the west side of the building.  You can drop your child there and she or he can enter the building in the lower wing near the gym in the morning.
  • Please do not use or block the driveways of residences on the north side of 22nd Avenue.  They are trying to get their kids to and from school as well and should not have to wait for access to their driveways.
  • Friendly Street Church, on the east side of school, allows us to use their parking lot in the morning and afternoon for drop-off and pick up.  If your child has a classroom in the upper wing, this is a great option.

Ready.  Set.   Read!   Reading Olympics are ON!

Adams is renewing the spirit of the Olympic Games for our spring fundraiser! All funds raised will go to paying for field trips, playground equipment, music and p.e. supplies and staffing.

Every pledge counts! We are hoping for 100% participation.  Lets go for the GOLD!

From March 15th through 24th, help your Reader collect pledges. Pledges can be made per minute, per page or based on number of books, or as a set amount for committed participation.

March 25th through April 4th , help your Reader record every minute spent reading.  This includes time being read to for our younger kids or reading independently.
