Adams Update 2/28 – Plans for Tomorrow, Nachos and Snowballs

Good evening Adams families,

Many of our roads have dried out and the temperatures look to stay above freezing overnight.  Randy has cleared and de-iced the sidewalks in front of the school and 4J facilities plowed the parking lot this morning.

Speaking of AWESOME employees, our PTA is preparing for an appreciation of all our classified staff.  If you are interested in helping with a nacho bar, please check out the link below.

So, what does tomorrow look like?

There is still a chance that we may be on a delay in the morning.  Any announcement will be made before 6:30 tomorrow morning.  No announcement means that we are on schedule for a regular start with first bell at 8:25 and classes starting at 8:30.  As it is Friday, we will have early dismissal as usual, at 1:45

Some things to consider while helping your child prepare for school:

  • We will have PE as scheduled.  Please wear or send appropriate footwear
  • It is likely that we will have indoor recess for at least the morning.
  • Remind your child that snow stays on the ground at school and we will not be throwing snowballs, just like we don’t throw rocks or bark chips.

Thanks for all you do to support our kids and congratulations on making it through this week.  I have kids too and I know it was a challenge at times to have them home over the last four days.  Snow days are fun, until day three.

Best,

Principal Kevin
