School Bond Measure Passes!

Voters resoundingly supported the school bond to improve schools, support students and strengthen our community.

Thanks to voters, every 4J school will see improvements in the coming years.

Every school will receive safety and security improvements, new curriculum materials and technology upgrades for a 21st century education.

Every high school also will receive enhanced career technical education (vocational) opportunities and improved athletic facilities to be more equitable for girls and boys.

Many schools will have additional facility improvements, depending on the age and condition of the building. Most school buildings are 50–75 years old.

In addition to school security, career technical education, equitable athletic facilities, student learning materials and technology, planned upgrades include accessibility improvements, school kitchens, special education supports, bus replacements, safe routes to school, facility repairs, and more. The bond measure also will pay to build three new school buildings and for classroom additions to address overcrowding.
