Reading Olympics Update

Good Morning Adams Families,

We are moving into the final phases of the Reading Olympics at Adams Elementary for 2018!

Now that students have read and logged minutes towards their reading goal in an effort to earn a bronze, silver or gold medal, we are ready for students to total up those minutes, collect any pledges due, and return envelopes to their classroom teacher any time between now and May 16th

It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3…

1.  Please total any minutes that your child read toward their reading goal and record them on the reading olympics envelope.

2.  Collect any pledges or donations that have made to your olympian.

  • Online pledges and donations, should be recorded on your log
  • Checks should be made to Adams Elementary School

3.  Turn the complete envelope with TOTAL MINUTES and ALL PLEDGES COLLECTED to the office or to your child’s homeroom teacher.

We are collecting envelopes now through May 16th. While we are processing returned envelopes we will have ‘Medal Ceremonies‘ to recognize students for participating and meeting his or her reading minutes goal.

OUR TOTAL FUNDRAISING GOAL IS $16,000.

When we reach $12,000 – I will color my hair green

When we reach $14,000 – I will shave 1/2 of by beard

When we reach $16,000 we will have an assembly where I get dunked into a dunk tank of ice water!

Thanks for participating in any way you are able!

Reminder:  There is NO SCHOOL on Friday, May 4th for districtwide professional development.

Best,

Principal Kevin
